Paul, who has recently joined IBM, is a positive, proactive and results-driven senior executive with a highly successful track record in leading both internal and external business strategies and teams, innovating and transforming business models which have been challenged by new technologies, new competitors, and market shifts, delivering innovative and commercially favourable solutions to all technical, commercial and digital matters. Paul has gone from being a managing director of a small innovative house-builder, throughout a medium size mechanical & electrical contractor, a large developer (building over 1,000 units/year), to a large international innovative manufacturer Wienerberger, most recently to a global technology and information technology leader IBM.
Paul has extensive knowledge and understanding of Built Environment, BIM, Virtual
Design Construction, Lean Construction strategies, data interoperability, AI, blockchain,
construction design, management & advice, modern methods of constructions,
manufacturing processes including industry 4.0, renewable energy technologies & energy
performance of existing and new dwellings as well as planning regulations.
Paul is a full member and a chartered engineer of the Institute of Engineering and
Technology, holds MSc (Eng.) in mechanical, electronics engineering and an Eco-Building
Design Postgraduate Diploma. Paul is a BREEAM Accredited Professional, BIM Level 2
Certified Practitioner (Project Information and Task Information manager), and a chartered
member of the CIOB. Paul has been a Chairman of Construction Products Europe
Digitalization & BIM Task Group, a Chairman of BIM4M2 and a vice-chair of BIM4Housing, a
member of Built Environment Executive at the Institute of Engineering & Technology,
member of B/555 British Standards Institute and technical expert for CEN/TC 442 and ISO.
